Norwegian Cruise Line

Be the first!

Following the delivery of the Norwegian Encore, the latest cruise ship in the successful Breakaway Plus class, it was just a matter of time before the next generation of Norwegian Cruise Line cruise ships arrived. The Norwegian Prima is the first ship in the Leonardo class. The ships in the Leonardo class are slightly smaller than those in the Breakaway class. For example, the Prima is 294 metres long and has capacity for 3,100 passengers. The Norwegian Prima was constructed at the Marghera shipyard near Venice. The name Prima means ‘first’ in Italian and is a beautiful tribute to the Italian shipyard.

The Norwegian Prima offers more open areas and more staff per passenger. Norwegian Cruise Line has taken the concept of The Haven to the next level. The Haven is the luxury ‘ship-in-the-ship’ section that has been moved to the stern on the new Norwegian Prima. Passengers in The Haven have access to private lifts which are exclusively reserved for Haven guests. These lifts open directly onto the public areas of The Haven on decks 16 and 17. NCL has created the design of The Haven in such a way that it offers more sea views than ever before. For the first time ever, every public space in The Haven offers a stunning views of the sea and the destination.
