Celebrity Cruises

The Celebrity Beyond is the third Celebrity Cruises ship in the revolutionary Edge class. After first fitting out the Edge and the Apex, ROBOS was also approached to fit out the third ship. The ship was built at the Chantier d’Atlantique shipyard in Saint Nazaire, France. Measuring 327 meters in length and 39 meters in width, the ship is even 20 meters longer and one deck higher than its two sister ships. This means there is room for 3,260 guests on board and the cruise ship offers even more space.
ROBOS furniture can be seen in such places as the suites, the rooftop, the Eden restaurant & deck, the spa& magic carpet, and in the cabanas.

 

Benches
An eye for functionality, that’s something that the ROBOS team definitely has. Take, for instance, the benches they made for the Destination gateway. These had to run along the circular wall and be suspended from the wall. The benches, including the chipboard, are fire-retardant. In addition, the bench has been made water repellent because it is cleaned with plenty of water, so it is important that no water can soak into the plinth. Also, the seating and back have been made dismountable so that they can be individually replaced in the case of damage. ROBOS took on-site measurements in Saint Nazaire and then drafted working drawings to fine-tune all the details. The ROBOS team handled the assembly themselves. This bench was created in close consultation with the interior designer. As an example, the grain of the skirting board along the wall that was made by the interior designer extends into the plinth of the bench. Close cooperation is essential for this.
