Silver Nova is the eleventh ship in the Silversea fleet and also the first to be built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg. The Silver Nova is the most environmentally conscious ultraluxury cruise ship ever built.ROBOS has been commissioned to furnish, among other things, the Observation lounge, Salt bar & kitchen, Atrium Art Café, Boarding- and Crew areas.
CUSTOM MADE ITEM: COFFEE TABLE
Let’s start at the beginning. Let’s tell you more about the furnishing of Silver Nova and give you an example of customization. We will tell you the story behind the coffee table for the Pre Dinner Bar.
The starting point for this was a coffee table made of travertine natural stone. But a translation had to be made to meet the requirements of the cruise industry in terms of size, functional use and weight.

Shop drawings
Before we put the coffee table into production ROBOS first made shop drawings in order to properly check all the details together with the customer.
Samples
To meet the requirements, a fiberglass resin finish with a travertine look was chosen. An extensive sampling process preceded this, whereby the structure of the finish was given careful consideration.
