Benches fine dining

New to the Ascent was the furnishing of the Fine Dining venue. The Fine Dining venue is one of the most important areas on board. Of all the restaurants on board, it is the most luxurious.

The difficulty for us was the size of the seating because it had to fit exactly into the shell on the walls. Which is why we went on board early on in the year to measure and align everything.

The back of the seating is upholstered with plush, which gives it an extra luxurious look.A long tube including a mirror was placed behind the seating, which had to be exactly the right length and curvature. Each tube took 1 day’s worth of production to make. This was done during the summer shutdown of the factory, otherwise all production would have been down for 4 days. We had special crates made to bring the tubes and long mirrors on board without damaging them.
