One of those delivered products? The custom-made Hooded Daybed – Virgin’s take on the popular ‘strandkorb’. The beach-chair is easily recognizable by the numbering on the back of the chair. Taking the worrying out remembering your sunbathing-spot, and helping you focus on the more important things during this cruise – which cocktails to enjoy.

It all started with a sketch provided by Virgin Voyages.

Together with their architect we looked at the options regarding materials, fabrics, colors, and finishes. We came up with several options and drew shop drawings to back up our ideas. A 3D photo-realistic drawing made by our team showed the overall idea and its result.

The fabric is dyed through and through with an acrylic base, making it IMO proof.

The mesh aluminum base is sea-proof and lightweight.

Finished in the distinguished ‘Virgin Voyages red’ epoxy with a matte look.
